Getting there
Walking, biking, and the bus
Walking (8–15 min — mostly downhill)
Champlain's Hill Section location is one of the better setups for reaching downtown Burlington dispensaries on foot. From South Willard and Howard Streets, you're heading downhill toward College Street and the Church Street corridor. The most direct route heads west on College Street to reach Lucky You, then continues into Church Street for Garcia's, Float On, and True 802 within another few minutes. Bern Gallery on Main Street is a natural detour heading south-west down the hill.
Biking
Burlington has dedicated bike lanes on College Street and Church Street. The downhill ride from the Hill Section into downtown takes 5 minutes or less. The return trip uphill is the workout. Most Church Street dispensaries have bike parking nearby. Green Haven Herbals on Pearl Street near the waterfront is a natural add if you're heading toward the lake afterward.
GMT Bus (~5–8 min)
Green Mountain Transit connects the Hill Section to downtown Burlington in about 5–8 minutes. Multiple downtown routes serve the Church Street area where most dispensaries are concentrated. Carrying sealed cannabis in original packaging on the bus is legal under Vermont law; consuming on the bus is not.
Parking (if driving)
Municipal garage parking is available at the Lakeview Garage (off Pine Street) and Cherry Street Garage. Most Church Street dispensaries are within a 2–5 minute walk of both garages. Street parking in the Hill Section residential area is permit-only on many blocks — drive into the Church Street garage instead.

Know before you go
Vermont law ≠ Champlain College campus policy
Vermont allows adults 21+ to purchase and possess up to 1 oz of cannabis. Champlain College's policy is stricter: like all colleges that accept federal financial aid, Champlain prohibits cannabis possession and use on all college property — including dorms, campus apartments, and college-sponsored events — under the federal Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act. Even sealed, purchased product in your dorm room is a violation of college policy.
Students living in private, non-college off-campus housing who are 21+ are governed by Vermont state law. Public consumption remains prohibited statewide — legal use requires private property with the property owner's permission.
