Quick Answer
The nearest cannabis dispensary to Burlington Airport (BTV) is Upstate Elevator Dispensary at 699 Pine Street — approximately 8 minutes by car via I-89 South to the Pine Street exit. Heybud Dispensary (291 Saint Paul St) is the next closest at about 10 minutes and stays open until 10 PM Monday–Saturday. Downtown Burlington's cluster of four dispensaries is 12–13 minutes from the terminal. Vermont law allows adults 21+ to purchase up to 1 oz with a valid ID — but you cannot board any flight at BTV with cannabis. No exceptions.
Do not fly with cannabis from BTV — or bring it on arrival
Cannabis is federally illegal. TSA is required to notify law enforcement when they find it. This applies on departure and arrival: you cannot fly cannabis into Vermont from another state, either. Vermont dispensaries are for Vermont-use purchases only. Keep purchases sealed and in the trunk for any in-state car transport.

Directions from BTV
Getting from the airport to the nearest dispensaries
Pine Street shops (~8–10 min) — easiest route
From the BTV terminal, follow Airport Drive north to Williston Road (Route 2), then take I-89 South to Exit 14W (Burlington / Pine Street). Pine Street runs straight north from the ramp. Upstate Elevator is at 699 Pine St — look for the building with a parking lot on the right heading north. Heybud is a few blocks further at the intersection of Saint Paul and Howard Streets. Parking is free and dedicated at Upstate Elevator; metered street parking is available on Pine and Saint Paul.
Downtown Church Street shops (~12–13 min)
Continue north on Pine Street from the South End, then turn left on Main Street or College Street into the pedestrian-area downtown grid. The Cherry Street Garage and Lakeview Garage on Pine Street provide parking within a few minutes' walk of the Church Street dispensaries (Garcia's at 97 Church, Float On at 136½ Church, True 802 at 132 Church, Bern Gallery at 135 Main). Parking in the garages is metered; free on Sundays and holidays.
Without a car: taxi, rideshare, or bus
Lyft and Uber both serve BTV — a rideshare to Upstate Elevator runs about $10–15 depending on surge. Green Mountain Transit Route 1 runs from the airport to downtown Burlington for $1.35; service runs roughly every 30–60 minutes (check gmtransit.com for current schedules). Carrying sealed cannabis in its original packaging on the bus is legal under Vermont law. Consuming on the bus is not.
