Garlic Breath was bred by ThugPug Genetics (Gromer, Michigan) from GMO Cookies × Mendo Breath F2 — specifically Gromer's proprietary Mendo Breath F2 male, "Studly Spewright," the same male used across his ThugPug Breath program (Peanut Butter Breath, Meat Breath, Sherb Breath). GMO Cookies contributes the garlic-diesel-savory character and Caryophyllene-dominant terpene profile; Mendo Breath F2 (OGKB × [Mendo Purps × Crystal Locomotive] F2 lineage) adds a creamy, earthy-sweet exhale that rounds GMO's sharp pungency.

The result is a strain that opens with recognizable GMO garlic-diesel but finishes creamier and earthier — often described as "GMO with velvet gloves." Terpenes are Caryophyllene-forward but vary by batch: Leafly's aggregated data shows Limonene leading then Caryophyllene, while other sources put Caryophyllene first with Myrcene or Humulene behind — check the COA. Effects are evening-oriented: euphoric mood lift at onset, then progressive body relaxation and sedation. Not a daytime strain.

Do not confuse with "Garlic Cookies," which is just another name for GMO Cookies itself. Garlic Breath is a distinct ThugPug cross. Theory Wellness (Brattleboro, VT) has carried it; check current menus.
