Quick Answer
As of October 18, 2026, our tracker ranks brands by shelf presence across 89 tracked Vermont dispensaries. Pinnacle Valley Farms now leads with 433 live in-stock listings, ahead of Satori (334) and Upstate Elevator (307) — a reversal from September, when Upstate held the top spot. The top 15 brands account for about 2,829 of 12,750 tracked listings, roughly 22% of Vermont's tracked shelf. These are live menu listing counts, a distribution measure, not sales data.
Everyone in Vermont's cannabis industry has an opinion about which brands are winning the shelf. Nobody else publishes the data. So we count it ourselves: our tracker reads the live online menus of 89 Vermont dispensaries every day and tallies every in-stock listing by brand. As of October 18, 2026, one name sits on top — and it is not the name that led in September.
Pinnacle Valley Farms is now the most-stocked brand in Vermont, with 433 in-stock listings across the 89 tracked shops — ahead of Satori (334) and Upstate Elevator (307). That is a reversal: in our September share-of-shelf snapshot, Upstate Elevator held the top spot. One number to hold onto up front: these are live menu listing counts — a measure of distribution and shelf presence, not sales.
The top 15 brands on Vermont's shelves
Ranked by total in-stock listings across all 89 tracked shops, as of October 18, 2026:

- Upstate Elevator — 307
- Mountain Girl Cannabis — 204
- Sunset Lake Cannabis — 194
- Taunik — 177
- Phoenix Star — 144
- RAW — 143
- Vermont Kind Craft Cannabis — 138

The lead change at the top
Pinnacle overtook Upstate, and Satori slipped between them. Back in late September, with a narrower 25-shop lens, Upstate Elevator led the shelf (103 listings) ahead of Pinnacle (91) and Satori (88) — the top three within 15 listings of each other. Today the order is Pinnacle, Satori, Upstate. A caveat worth stating plainly: our coverage widened from 25 tracked shops to 89 between those two snapshots, so the raw counts are not directly comparable month-over-month. What is comparable is the rank order — who sits ahead of whom — and at the top of the table that order has flipped.
Pinnacle's lead is clear, but the chase pack is close. At 433 listings Pinnacle holds roughly 3.4% of every tracked listing in the state and sits about 41% ahead of third-place Upstate (307). But Satori (334) is only 99 listings back of the leader, and the gap from second to fifth is tighter than the gap from first to second. This is a race among a handful of in-state producers, not a runaway.
What the ranking says about the market
The shelf is concentrated at the top. The top 15 brands are about 1% of the roughly 1,300 brand identities we track, yet they hold about 2,829 of 12,750 in-stock listings — roughly 22% of Vermont's tracked shelf. The long tail is very long: the overwhelming majority of brands hold only a handful of slots at a handful of shops. For most Vermont brands, being "in dispensaries" means a few shelf slots, not statewide presence.
Vermont's shelf is Vermont-grown. The names at the top — Pinnacle Valley Farms, Satori, Upstate Elevator, Mountain Girl Cannabis, Sunset Lake Cannabis — are in-state producers. In a market where every legal gram is grown in-state, shelf share is effectively a live scoreboard of Vermont's own cultivators and manufacturers.
How many brands are there, exactly? We currently read roughly 1,300 brand identities across the tracked menus, but we treat that as an approximate figure, not a hard count: some producers appear on menus under several spellings or label variants, and we are actively consolidating those duplicates to a single canonical identity. The share-of-shelf ranking above is unaffected by that cleanup — the brands at the top are distinct, high-volume names — which is exactly why we lead with the ranking rather than the headline brand count.

How we count this
Our tracker captures each dispensary's public online menu daily and records every in-stock listing with its brand attribution as the menu states it. A "listing" is one distinct in-stock SKU at one shop — the same product stocked at five shops counts five times, because shelf presence is exactly what we are measuring. We track 89 Vermont dispensaries, close to every licensed shop in the state with a public online menu.
These figures are not sales data. A listing count measures how many shelf slots a brand occupies, not how fast it sells. It is still a signal worth watching — dispensaries restock what moves, so sustained shelf share tends to reflect real demand — but we present it as what it is: a distribution metric.
Watch it move
This ranking is a snapshot from October 18, 2026, and we publish it monthly. With a near-fixed 89-shop lens now in place, next month's edition will show the first clean month-over-month shelf-share moves — whether Pinnacle holds the lead it just took, or Satori and Upstate close the gap.
burlingtondispensaries.com is an independent market-intelligence tracker. We are not a dispensary and do not sell cannabis. All figures are counts of in-stock listings captured from public online menus as of October 18, 2026, and are provided for informational purposes.
