Quick Answer
As of September 27, 2026, our tracker counts 294 distinct cannabis brands in stock across 25 Vermont dispensaries. Upstate Elevator is the most-stocked brand in the state with 103 live listings, followed by Pinnacle Valley Farms (91), Satori (88), Magic Mann (83), and Sunset Lake Cannabis (60). The top 15 brands — about 5% of all brands tracked — account for 783 of 2,205 in-stock listings, roughly 36% of Vermont's tracked shelf. These are live menu listing counts, not sales data.
Everyone in Vermont's cannabis industry has an opinion about which brands are winning. Nobody publishes the data. Menu platforms show one shop at a time; the state reports licenses, not shelves. So we counted it ourselves: our tracker reads the live online menus of 25 Vermont dispensaries every day and tallies every in-stock listing by brand — 2,205 SKUs from 294 distinct brands as of September 27, 2026.
Here is what the shelf actually looks like. One number to hold onto up front: these are live menu listing counts — a measure of distribution and shelf presence, not sales.

What the ranking says about the market
The shelf is concentrated at the top. Those 15 brands are about 5% of the 294 brands we track, yet they hold 783 of 2,205 listings — roughly 36% of Vermont's tracked shelf. The long tail is long: the remaining 279 brands average about 5 listings each. For most Vermont brands, being "in dispensaries" means a handful of shelf slots at a handful of shops.
Upstate Elevator's lead is real but not runaway. At 103 listings, the Burlington-based brand holds about 4.7% of every tracked listing in the state — the largest single footprint, but only 12 listings ahead of Pinnacle Valley Farms. This is a race, not a monopoly: the top four brands sit within 20 listings of each other.
Retailer-brands punch above their weight. Two of the top four — Upstate Elevator and Magic Mann — also operate their own storefronts, which we track as shops in our index. Part of their listing count naturally sits on their own shelves, so their pure wholesale footprint is somewhat smaller than the raw number suggests. We count what the menus show; that caveat is worth knowing when reading the table.
Vermont's shelf is Vermont-grown. The names at the top — Upstate Elevator, Pinnacle Valley Farms, Satori, Sunset Lake, Northern Craft — are in-state producers. In a market where every legal gram is grown in-state, shelf share is effectively a live scoreboard of Vermont's own cultivators and manufacturers.
How we count this
Our tracker captures each dispensary's public online menu daily and records every in-stock listing with its brand attribution as the menu states it. A "listing" is one distinct in-stock SKU at one shop — the same product stocked at five shops counts five times, because shelf presence is exactly what we are measuring. Brands are counted as menus name them; if a producer sells under multiple labels, each label counts separately. We track 25 shops, which we estimate at roughly 71% of Vermont's retail catchment — statewide totals will run somewhat higher.
These figures are not sales data. A listing count measures how many shelf slots a brand occupies, not how fast it sells. It is still a signal worth watching — dispensaries restock what moves, so sustained shelf share tends to reflect real demand — but we present it as what it is: a distribution metric.
Watch it move
This ranking is a snapshot from September 27, 2026. The live version — updated daily, alongside the flower price index and per-shop category mix — is on our Data Hub. As Vermont's harvest season inventory lands over the next few weeks, we will be watching whether the top of this table holds.
