Quick Answer

As of October 21, 2026, these are the cheapest tracked Vermont dispensaries by region, ranked on average advertised flower price per gram. Upper Valley: Ideal Cannabis, Sharon ($3.57/g, the lowest statewide). Central Vermont: Best Buds, Morrisville ($3.74/g). Northeast Kingdom: Kingdom Boyz, Derby ($5.86/g). Rutland & Addison: Killington Mountain Dispensary ($6.09/g). Chittenden County: Green Leaf Central, Burlington ($6.22/g). Southern Vermont: The Buddega, Springfield ($6.47/g). Northwest: Lake Effect, South Hero ($9.56/g). The statewide high is TMM Dispensary in Springfield at $15.43/g, 4.3× the floor. These are menu list prices before tax and discounts, taken from public menus. We track the market and do not sell cannabis.

As of October 21, 2026, the cheapest tracked dispensary in Vermont is in a town of about 1,500 people. Ideal Cannabis in Sharon averages $3.57 per gram on advertised flower, the lowest of the 78 Vermont shops we can price. The highest is TMM Dispensary in Springfield at $15.43/g. That's a 4.3× spread. The statewide flower average is $10.53/g, and the median shop sits at about $9.79/g.

A statewide "cheapest" list isn't much use if the cheapest shop is two hours from you. So we split the state into seven regions and ranked the shops inside each one. The result: every region has at least one shop under $10/g, and most regions have one under $7/g. Some of the widest price gaps aren't between regions at all. They sit inside a single town.

How to read the numbers: each figure is a shop's average advertised price per gram across its in-stock flower on the latest overnight scrape of its public menu (05:17 UTC, October 21). It's a menu list price, before tax and checkout discounts. Menu errors under $1/g are excluded. Of the 89 Vermont shops we track, 78 had a clean figure. The regions are our own groupings by town, explained at the bottom of this page.

The surprise: the biggest gaps are inside one town

Morrisville: 3.8×. Five tracked shops in Morrisville have a clean price. Best Buds averages $3.74/g, the second-lowest in the state. Craft Cannabis Company, in the same town, averages $14.15/g. In between are Wild Legacy Cannabis ($9.45), Freedom Flower Direct ($10.62) and Higher Elevation ($11.83). That one town covers most of the gap between Vermont's cheapest shop and its priciest.

Springfield: 2.4×. Southern Vermont's cheapest tracked shop, The Buddega ($6.47/g), is in the same town as the most expensive tracked shop in the whole state, TMM Dispensary ($15.43/g).

Average menu price says nothing about quality. A higher average can mean a shop carries more craft or top-shelf flower, smaller jar sizes, or fewer bulk options. What it does show is that "prices in my area" isn't one number. In most regions, the shop you choose matters more than the region you're in.

Region by region

Chittenden County (16 shops priced)

Green Leaf Central in Burlington is the county's lowest at $6.22/g, followed by The Herb Closet ($7.58), Float On ($7.64), Winooski Organics ($8.50) and Green Haven Herbals ($8.52). Nine of the 16 average under $10/g. The county high is Magic Mann in Essex Junction at $13.75/g. Chittenden has the most shops in the state, but its median (about $9.93/g) is close to the statewide middle. Lots of competition here hasn't produced a cheap county overall.

Upper Valley & White River (11 shops priced)

This group has the lowest median of any region, about $8.83/g, and 8 of its 11 shops average under $10/g. Below the Sharon floor come Woolly Mammoth Cannabis in Bridgewater ($7.55), Sunkissed Farm in Woodstock ($7.81), Something Wicked in Bethel ($8.26) and DePot Shop in Windsor ($8.60). The Tea House in White River Junction averages $11.41/g, and the regional high is Polestar Cannabis in Randolph at $13.18/g.

Central Vermont (19 shops priced)

Morrisville's Best Buds ($3.74) leads, then Blue Sage in Waitsfield ($6.22), Notch Nugs in Jeffersonville ($6.90) and Winterland Haze in Montpelier ($7.70). This is the biggest region by shop count, and its median (about $10.11/g) hides a wide range: the floor and ceiling (Craft Cannabis Company, $14.15) are both in Morrisville. Waitsfield has a twofold gap of its own: Valley Meade Dispensary averages $13.09/g, against Blue Sage's $6.22.

Northeast Kingdom (7 shops priced)

The Kingdom is the most consistently priced region: 6 of 7 shops average under $10/g, and the median is about $9.20/g. Kingdom Boyz in Derby is lowest at $5.86/g, then Sonny's in Groton ($8.56) and Kingdom Kind in Barton ($8.71). St. Johnsbury's The Green Man ($9.20) and Northeast Kannabis ($9.52) are less than 35 cents apart. The regional high is The Bud Stop in Danville ($12.20). Kushies in Derby is tracked but had no clean flower $/g on this reading, so it isn't ranked.

Rutland & Addison (11 shops priced)

Killington Mountain Dispensary ($6.09) and Rutland's Somewhere on the Mountain ($6.68) lead, with FLORA Cannabis in Middlebury ($8.13) and Little Amsterdam in Rutland ($8.63) next. After that, prices climb. The median is about $11.27/g, the second-highest of any region, and the high is Pine Grove Organics in Brandon ($14.55). Lucky 7 Dispensary, also in Brandon, sells from a deli/bulk menu we can't yet convert to an honest per-gram figure, so it isn't ranked.

Southern Vermont (11 shops priced)

The Buddega in Springfield ($6.47) and Silver Therapeutics in Bennington ($6.83) are the region's lowest, followed by Theory Wellness in Brattleboro ($8.28). The top end is the priciest in the state. Vermont Bud Barn in Brattleboro ($14.42), Matterhorn Apothecary in Wilmington ($15.00) and TMM Dispensary in Springfield ($15.43) are three of the five most expensive shops we price. Rolling Twenties in Bellows Falls is tracked but sells from a deli/bulk menu, so it isn't ranked.

Northwest: Franklin & Grand Isle (3 shops priced)

Only three shops here have a clean price, so this is the weakest read on the page. Lake Effect in South Hero averages $9.56/g. The two St. Albans shops, Mary Jane Junction ($13.41) and MothaPlant ($13.60), are both well above the statewide average.

What this does and doesn't tell you

  • It's a menu average, not a product match. A shop's average depends on its mix: jar sizes, bulk options, craft vs. value lines. Two shops with the same strain can price it very differently from what their averages suggest.
  • It's before tax and checkout discounts. Vermont adds a 14% cannabis excise tax and 6% sales tax, plus a 1% local option tax in some towns. Loyalty pricing and day-of deals don't show up on public menus.
  • It moves daily. The statewide floor has changed shops more than once this month. This page reflects one morning's reading.
  • 11 of 89 tracked shops are unranked. Most have no parseable flower weight, or sell from deli/bulk menus. We leave them out instead of guessing.

How we grouped the regions: Chittenden County. Northwest = Franklin and Grand Isle counties. Central = Washington and Lamoille counties, including the Mad River Valley and Waterbury. Northeast Kingdom = Orleans, Caledonia and Essex counties. Upper Valley & White River = Orange County plus Windsor County, except Springfield. Rutland & Addison = Rutland and Addison counties. Southern = Windham and Bennington counties plus Springfield. The boundaries are our own and are meant to match how people talk about the state, not official regions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cheapest dispensary in Burlington and Chittenden County? +
As of October 21, 2026, Green Leaf Central in Burlington has the lowest average advertised flower price per gram among the 16 Chittenden County dispensaries we can price, at $6.22/g. The Herb Closet ($7.58/g) and Float On ($7.64/g), both in Burlington, come next. The county's highest is Magic Mann in Essex Junction at $13.75/g, and the county median is about $9.93/g. Nine of the 16 average under $10/g. These are menu list prices before tax and checkout discounts, and they change as menus update.
Which region of Vermont has the cheapest cannabis flower? +
On our October 21, 2026 reading, the Upper Valley group (Orange and northern Windsor counties) has the lowest median shop price at about $8.83/g, and 8 of its 11 priced shops average under $10/g. It also has the statewide floor, Ideal Cannabis in Sharon at $3.57/g. The Northeast Kingdom is close behind with a median of about $9.20/g (6 of 7 shops under $10/g). Our Northwest group (Franklin and Grand Isle) has the highest median, about $13.41/g, but only three shops there have a clean price, so treat that one with caution. The regions are our own groupings by town.
Why aren't Rolling Twenties, Lucky 7 or Kushies ranked? +
We track them, but their public menus don't currently give us a clean per-gram flower figure. Rolling Twenties (Bellows Falls) and Lucky 7 (Brandon) sell flower from deli or bulk-style menus. Those menus list a price for a total weight or a pack, so dividing gives a misleading per-gram number. We leave them out until we can read them properly, and we don't make up a figure. Kushies (Derby) had no parseable flower $/g on this reading. In total, 78 of the 89 Vermont shops we track had a clean average; the other 11 are unranked.
