Blue Sage at 5121 Main St, in the Waitsfield Village Square shopping center, is one of two adult-use cannabis dispensaries in the Mad River Valley. Founded by Kevin Kennedy and Per Arneberg, it holds a Tier 1 hybrid license — meaning it cultivates, manufactures, and sells cannabis under one roof rather than buying everything wholesale.

That vertical integration is the shop's defining feature: Blue Sage grows its own Vermont flower and stocks it alongside a curated selection from fellow Vermont cultivators and manufacturers. The menu covers flower, edibles, and concentrates, all lab-tested. Because the shop grows the plants it sells, sourcing is more transparent than at a wholesale-dependent retailer.

The shop sits in Waitsfield Village Square on Main Street (Route 100), near Mehuron's Supermarket — the commercial center of the village. For visitors arriving in the valley from the north (Burlington, Waterbury, or Montpelier) on Route 100, Blue Sage is the first dispensary you reach, right in the village before the Route 17 turnoff toward the ski areas.
